Corvette C7 Stingray: Evolution of Design - HOT ROD Unlimited Episode 29
The Evolution of the Corvette: Innovative Design from the C1 to the C7 StingRay We hitch a ride in a '57 Corvette to the Petersen Automotive Museum to catch the debut of the new 2014 C7 StingRay. At the museum we meet up with StingRay designer, Kirk Bennion, who walks us through a brief history of Corvette design from the car's introduction in 1953 through the body and design changes leading up to the current C6. Finally we pull the cover off the C7 and Bennion tells us why he believes the car deserves the StingRay name. Along the way, we see many rare Corvettes including the very first Motorama prototype, the race winning Grand Sport and one of the last C6 'Vettes ever built.
